Founded by and when it became a state: It became a state in 1791 it was the 14th state it was claimed by France Vermont wanted to become a country it did but soon later it became a state.

Geography: Vermont does not have big mountains but skiing and winter sports are popular.
State flower: the state flower is the Red clover.
State tree: the state tree is the Sugar maple

State bird: Hermit thrush
The biggest marble quarry is in Vermont there. Lot of electronics is made in Vermont too. In the summer you can take a tour of the Ben a Jerry’s ice cream factory yum! Maple syrup is very popular there along with cranberry sauce and cranberry juice did you know you can find cranberries in a bog? Well you can!
